What bugs me is that while we both have a looky-findy game published around the same time, your games been coded so that I could expect somebody could play this game on a phone, which is a huge plus.

Not to mention all the pixel artwork from the almighty Poxpower.

*grumble grumble 10/10*

deathink responds:

Your game came out so good my man! I am kinda bummed I didn't get to make something for it, I was really strapped for time, and just barely finished my own stuff. (in fact I was a day late with a commission just to put my game out on time). Keep up the good work Rob.

I don't understand the appeal of 2048 clones. Just play the original.

There is nothing new about this version, just the numbers being replaced by letters. A = 2, B = 4, ... , and K = 512.

It's easier than 2048, because you're two steps short.

Frederik77 responds:

Well, when a game is open sourced that's a sort of invitation for other developers to make clones and variations. And everybody's cloning 2048 these days. I'm not claiming this clone is high art, it's just a nice playable puzzle with a different graphics style from the original. If you're looking for a more interesting variation, I also made Triangular 2048, which alters the gameplay, not just the graphics: http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/639274

By the way, you counted wrong, lol. :D

ARGH THE POEM PUZZLE!
I had to cheat on this one, and I'm afraid I'd never get it, had I not. It's the mountains and two mentions of three that got me.

Great point and click, as always. New projects on the horizon, no doubt.

Hyptosis responds:

I was a tiny bit worried about mentioning three twice, I probably shouldn't have done that.

Yup.

Just wanted to give you some credit to the amount of responses you're giving to all your reviewers, that's some decent dedication. Keep your spirits up, and don't let some of these reviewers get you down.

I've noticed people have been giving you a lot more comments about the gameplay than other Flash games - maybe they're being critical because you don't often see games of this calibre in Flash format.

Even though I've stopped going for the "The Daddy" medal, I'm still loving the Spawn levels. I'm not one for shooters, but I do enjoy the pace, the story and the atmosphere of this game. I had to complete it again on Kong so I could get reacquianted with the Owlmen story (plus earn some medals and complete the storyline mode once again).

Loving the game, looking forward to the additions in the sequel, and when the NG calendar comes round again I'm probably going to enter with some fan-art of this game.

Squize responds:

Thanks mate, just when my desire to try and support the game was starting to fade ( There are only so many 3/4 reviews you can read before wondering why the hell I'm not just working on the next game ).

"The Daddy" medal has got to be such a grind, it's only really in there as there needs to be some reward for the challenges, but I don't honestly expect anyone to get it.

Your mention of fan art has got Lux ( The artist ) all happy, me too actually :)

Thanks again.

You've recreated another existing game

Originality is dead.

LilDwarf responds:

Lol I never aimed at being original, isn't that obvious? :P

Small Problem

Dear creators of this game,

Please remove the Elfen Lied track, since it is overshadowing what is a great game, and a great achievement when made in 3 days time.

Also the code for the door is 306. Thank you.

Kind regards,
Jeff Jefferty Jefferson.

PS. I liked your proposal for Outsider 2. Make it happen.

bcdefg123 responds:

Can't tell if you're serious about the Elfen Lied thing because of the rest of your review, but it seems to be very popular with everyone else, so I see no reason to change it. - Brian

S'allright

Just to let you know I've encountered a game bug when switching inbetween pets. The game has got confused, and has seemingly trapped my pink wolf at the door, whilst cloning my snake pet at the stable. Below is a SS of what I mean.

Naturally I'm a bit gutted about losing my starting pet!

Game-wise, it's a good looking game, and I could get into the crafting and pet training elements to it.

Gameplay is a bit of a grind, sadly. I'm aware this is a bit of a redundant thing to say for a huge RPG game that you guys have created, but the combat system is just sluggish space bar bashing, with a few spells inbetween. Also crafting items is so slow! I wish I could create multiple potions at one time.

Might return to playing this sometime tomorrow, to see if the game beyond the village is any different. Otherwise grinding just doesn't hold my interest, even with medals.

Would you mind sending me a PM describing what you did before this happened?

Cool beans

What was the disability for this game?
RockOn12 or MikeyS9607?

VioletVulpine responds:

I programmed it.

10 stars for the guy who did the voice acting - it's perfect.
